Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and read my message to you!
My name is Nicarla Ellis and I am the Executive Director of Affinity Mentorship Foundation. I hope you are here to learn more about Affinity Mentorship Foundation (AMF) and that this visit leads you to join our community. There are so many places and ways that you can become a part of the AMF team!
Affinity was formed in the Summer of 2014 with the desire to find a way of supporting youth through mentorship to transition from incarceration and to contributing members in our society. Our first match occurred in the Spring of 2018. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded our target population to include all youth at-risk of justice involvement, while continuing to support those already involved.
AMF’s purpose is to connect participating youth with a supportive volunteer mentor. We believe that by engaging in healthy relationships, youth develop skills that empower them to make change in their lives and communities. We also have various programs to help youth develop goals and skills and dreams of what they can achieve.
Journey with us to make the world a kinder place! I invite you to check out the various sections and see which places might interest you. Contact AMF at info@affinitymentorship.com for more information on how you can join our team of committed volunteers!
Thank you for stopping by!
Here is a pep talk from Nicarla Ellis, the founder of Affinity Mentorship Foundation. She believes that incarcerated youth deserve a chance for a better future. Jail is not the answer; there is a better way for youth in the juvenile justice system to transform their lives. All incarcerated youth have the right to lead productive and fulfilling lives.
We help make this happen by showing them the right direction. With the support of our fellow Canadians, we focus on helping the most vulnerable teens overcome their fear and experience the fullness of life. Together we can protect the young generation today and empower them for tomorrow. Do your best to help us grow 🙂
