Tribute to Joseph Neil
“As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now part of us, as we remember them.” - Sylvan Kamens & Rabbi Jack Riemer
The Affinity Mentorship Foundation (AMF) membership would like to pay tribute to Joseph Neil. Joseph joined the Affinity board of directors in the Spring of 2017 and served as a director for two years. Joseph was the first youth to step up into such a position, and he was exceptional. He took the role seriously and he demanded respect - I remember our first meeting when he showed up wearing a suit and tie! He was extremely dedicated to making a positive impact in the world.
During his two-year service with Affinity, Joseph recruited numerous other board members and mentors. He went out into the community advocating for youth mentorship and spreading awareness of the needs the youth we serve faced. The turnout for the AGM while Joseph was a member the greatest number we have seen to date!
Joseph, your service to our community and your spirit of devotion will never be forgotten. We thank you for the time we spent together, and all that you taught us through sharing your story. You are an inspiration and you will be greatly missed.
A Gofundme has been created by a family friend to help with funeral expenses.
Joseph’s beautiful obituary.
